Moving

I'm in the process of moving! I don't know if you remember or not, but a while back I posted about some changes in my life. A job change and moving back in with my parents. In my head I had it all planned out. Move back in with my parents for a few months and once I figure out what I'm going to do I will move out. Well that few months turned into a little over a year. Now don't get me wrong, I am very thankful that I have parents who let me move back in when I need to. But, once you have been on your own for a number of years it's just different. I had been praying for doors to be opened and boy did they ever.

The first one was my friend Catherine asked me if I was still wanting to move out. Roommate- check. (which by the way she is one of the greatest people you will ever meet. I am looking forward to all the rommie fun we will have). Her sister and brother-in-law own a duplex and one was coming available (we got an awesome deal) duplex-check. And if things couldn't get any better, I got a promotion at work which basically covers my rent and utilities each month. extra money-check WOW! God is so good.

I am going to start moving things in this weekend. Pictures to come.

Late Night Chats

Last night I got to spend some time with my friend Camie who lives in Illinois and Nikki. We don't get to see Camie all that often but we have gotten to spend two evenings in a row with her :) The first evening was Eisley and Lola's first birthday. It was such a joy to be there and celebrate the girls! They have grown up and they are at such a fun stage right now. Last night we got to play with the girls and really just catch up with Camie. You know you have a great friend when you can just pick up right where you left off. It was a great night of reminiscing, laughing, and chatting the night away. And there may have been some teary eyes as we said goodbye. Just thankful today for great Godly friendships. Have fun looking at some pictures throughout the years :)

Weekend

I don't know how long it has been since I have had a lazy weekend? This weekend I got to enjoy one of those. Saturday I never put on make-up, never got out of the house or my sweats ha! I'm usually the kind of person who is go go go all the time. Most of the people I hang out with on the weekends were out of town, so I got to spend the weekend just relaxing. And I have to say....it was pretty amazing :).

Sunday was busy like usual but that is to be expected! One exciting thing I got to do was check out the duplex that I am moving into next month. So exciting!! I definatley felt like I was walking into another era. Wall paper everywhere. The owners are going to take the wallpaper down, repaint, put in new carpet, and light fixtures. I'm thinking it is going to look like a brand new place once its all done :) I can' t wait to see it again this weekend after it is all done.

Oh Baby!!

It feels like so many of my friends are pregnant...this is not a bad thing by all means!! It just all seems to be happening at the same time. Yesterday I counted 10 close friends and family that are expecting. Some are on their second child and others are on their first. So exciting.

Anyone who knows me knows that I am such a baby person so I can't wait for all these babies to be born! So congratulations to Carmen, Whitney, Leslie, Eleanor, Liesel, Gabby, Andrea, April, Rachel, (my friend who hasn't told anyone yet) and their husbands of course. So who wants to be next??

I do want to take the time to talk a little more specifically about two of my sweet friends Carmen and Whitney :)

Carmen already has one of the sweetest boys you will ever meet. I just know that he is going to be such a great big brother :) I am looking forward to this pregnancy because I wasn't super close with her when she had Saul. I am looking forward to being more apart of this one! Yay can't wait. Our Tuesday dinners are going to turn into me bring them a meal every week :)  And funny story...I totally had a dream that she was pregnant before she told me haha. She played it off really well. And when she did tell me she was able to say.... Remember that dream you and about me?.....AHHHH love it! I'm so excited.

Now for Whitney. I have been praying for her and Nate for awhile now and I couldn't be more excited for them. They are already so good with kids. I just know that they are going to be such wonderful parents. It's in times like these especially that I wish they lived closer. They had the cutest announcements. You will have to check it out and read more about their story http://thestoryofus-foryou.blogspot.com/2012/06/humbled-and-happy.html . So Nate and Whitney I can't wait for you to have your baby :) Expect a visit soon!

Well I guess I better start saving my money because I see lots of shopping and hosting showers in my future :)

Fun Weekend!

I took off Friday so my weekend started Thursday after work. I had the privilege of getting to watch one of my best friend's sons that evening. We had a blast. I mean, who wouldn't have a great time with this fun little boy. He never ceases to make me smile :)

Our trip to Texas started bright and early Friday morning. I got up even earlier than I do when I have to go to work :/. But when Parker is the one waking you up...you don't complain haha.

You know how on trips people always try to get shot gun? Not us!! We rock paper scissors to see who gets to sit in the back with Parker. It was between me and Donnally...Obviously I won :)

So I had fun with Mr. Parker in the back seat!

We made it to Texas right about lunch time and just in time to say hi and get ready for graduation. Thankfully the graduation was only about 300 people and only lasted an hour! (why can't they all be like that)

Friday night we got to hang out a little and enjoy the Dallas area. It has changed a lot since I lived there and made me miss it a little bit. Saturday we did some shopping, had lunch and headed back to Arkansas

Donnally would want me to mention that we got to eat lunch and In-N-Out for lunch on Saturday! It was quite the experience. It was very very yummy and it made Donnally soo happy :)

So all in all we had such a great trip. Love my friends!

Keeping up with Kaylie

My sweet friend Kaylie is doing some work in India for a few weeks. I am so very proud of her and I have enjoyed reading her blog the past couple of days. She does a really good job of updating and filling everyone in on what she is doing. (isn't technology great) If you want to keep up with her journey follow her blog http://kcreither.blogspot.com/ . Please join me in prayer for her and all the people she will come in contact with while she is there.

Love you Kaylie! Can't to hear all about it :)

Welcome Home

Yesterday Nikki, Jessica, Parker, and I went to the airport to pick up our wonderful friend Donnally! We had messed around with the idea of making a sign to welcome her home. So Sunday, began the preparations...and then Jessica got another great idea. Since I had the keys to her apartment, she thought we should decorate her apartment with streamers and balloons. We had so much fun and couldn't wait to surprise Donnally.

We picked her up and she was so happy about the sign...little did she know there was more to come. When we took her to the apartment we offered to help take her bags upstairs, because we are very thought friends (and we wanted to see her face when she opened her door). Oh was she surprised!! It was all worth it to see her expression.

So Donnally....WE MISSED YOU!! and we are so glad you are home :)
