I guess I have been moved into my new place for about two weeks now. I am absolutely loving it! We are still in the process of getting things put on the walls. You know, just those little touches. But everything is moved in. I took a few pictures this morning with my phone (so they aren't very good) so I could post a few on the blog. This whole moving in thing has made me realize, once again, how much stuff I have. I have purged my closet twice just this year. And all my stuff still didn't fit in my closet. (mainly my shoes because of my shoe obsession) So I did another closet clean out once I moved in. One fun thing that my parents surprised me with was a new TV. My roommate and I came home from dinner and they were at the front door waiting with a brand new flat screen TV. Aren't they just the best? I am blessed with such a great family. With their help I was able to get everything moved in in record time. And my dad has been coming back on some evenings to help me out with a few things.
Well, I hope you enjoy a little photo tour of part of the house.
I took two different shots of the living room (we don't have curtains yet so the lighting is pretty horrible) We are still trying to figure out what do with the walls in the living room?
This is my bathroom. it is actually pretty spacious. We are very thankful that we each have our own bathrooms. It just makes things a little easier.
Here is our little eating area and our kitchen. They put in all new appliances for us! Behind the door is our laundry room. I have already hosted a couple meals at the new place. :)
And this is a view into the right side of my room.
It took a little while to get adjusted to living on my own again. But I am already loving it. I'm looking forward to great memories spent in this house.

fun times
Sometime this week I will post more about my new place. But for now, there is much more exciting things to talk about :) First, last week was Parker's 2nd birthday. The fact that he is two is crazy. Time is just flying by. I sure do love that boy. Nikki, Donnally, and I all went in on a gift together since it was a little on the expensive side. We got him a scooter. Apparently they make scooters little kid sized now. I'm so glad we got it for him because he just LOVED it.
And now for some very exciting news. One of my best friends got engaged on Saturday! I had known for about a week and let me tell you...it was sooooo hard to not just want to jump for joy and start crying everytime I saw her. (which was a lot) One of the best things was earlier in the week we went to lunch to celebrate her birthday and Jessica's birthday. She made the comment "there is no way y'all could keep it a secret if Jared told you. It would be all over your faces and I could tell" hahaha we did good :) that Saturday afternoon Donnally and I got a little engagement gift together for her. We were so excited! Jared did such a good job. He had everything planned out to the T. They were suppose to be spending an evening on the boat with some friends. There is a big walkway down to the dock. On the way over there they stopped (he had made her this sweet picture frame) and he dropped on one knee and proposed. And then when they got to the dock their families and some close friends were there to celebrate! It was so much fun. All I have are pictures from our phones so far. But you better believe there are more to come. CONGRATULATIONS Jared and Jikki. I Love y'all.

My Weekend Review
Well, it's official! I'm all moved into my new place. And by all moved in I mean everything is there. I still have quite a few boxes I need to go through and lots of organizing to do, but it is coming along nicely. Once I get everything put away I will post some pictures. Saturday was a day full of moving. I am so grateful to my family (and my sister's boyfriend) for all the help. The first night there I was a little restless but I'm sure it is just because I was adjusting to a new place. Last night I slept like a baby :) On Saturday evening Donnally and Nikki came over to see the place, lend a hand, and keep me company. I had my first meal at the new place. We had a gourmet meal of pizza and sonic drinks. The moving food of choice. Jessica came after she got off work. It was a great night of catching up. I mean we all talk all the time but it had been awhile since we had all been together. So we just talked the night away. I just love those girls.
Sunday I had worship team and church, but right after I headed to Tulsa. A group of us decided it would be fun to spend a day in Tulsa for 3 great reasons. 1) Cheesecake Factory 2) Shopping (well this was probably more for the girls) 3) Batman The Dark Night Rises at the IMAX. Who wouldn't want to do that!

We started off our day with a late lunch at The Cheesecake Factory! I might have mentioned this before. But their menu stresses me out. I'm not a great decision maker anyway so give me a menu with 20 pages and I'm toast. But it was great non the less.
And a trip to The Cheesecake Factory would not be complete with out some cheesecake. Red Velvet Yummers!
After a couple hours of shopping and trying to walk off all the calories from lunch we headed to the IMAX. We waited in line for a good hour. And thankfully the guys had gotten there even earlier than us and were at the front :) Here is a picture of the girls in the group. We had such a great time and the movie was fantastic. So all in all, it was a great weekend.

Scoops of Blessings
I had the privilege of leading worship with 3 wonderful ladies last night at "Scoops of Blessings" at my church last night. Ice cream and worship...does it get any better? haha It was such a great time. The girls and I got there at 5:00 for a sound check and to run through the set before all the other ladies got there. Let's just say everything that could have gone wrong went wrong. Just one of those things. Not everything got fixed and not everything was perfect but we just went with it. Of course we wanted it to sound good but in reality we just wanted to worship. So we had a much needed prayer time before the event and then enjoyed some yummy ice cream and let in a great evening of worship.
Whenever we were preparing for this event we were worried that the set was too long. That the ladies would get tired. But I think what we picked was just perfect. We had a sweet intimate moment of worship with a great group of ladies from our church. Since I work during the day I don't to join in very often and lead worship. But I just know that is where my heart is. :) I thoroughly enjoyed worship last night and I am thankful the Mary Claire, Lenore, and Jan. They have such servant hearts. This week was super busy getting ready for it all but it was totally worth it. A great song that I hadn't heard until we learned it for last night is "O Wondrous Love" the words to this song. It's one of those songs you just want to close your eyes, meditate and listen.

Patiently Waiting
I was talking to my good friend Misty yesterday and somehow we got on the topic of husbands. I was having one of those hard days. The days where I sulk and think things like everyone has someone, everyone is married. (which is obviously not true). Thankfully those days don't come around very often. 90% of the time I am very content with being single. I know that God has the perfect one out there for me and I may not have even met him yet. I am confident that whenever I do meet "the one" it will all be in God's perfect timing. So for now I am patiently waiting till the day I say "I do". Until then I am growing closer to God and becoming the best person I can be and praying for my future husband. Praying that God is molding him into a wonderful man who loves the Lord with all his heart and molding him into a spiritual leader. I am grateful that I have people in my life like Misty who are also praying for my special someone.
This song is one that the first time I heard it (and honestly sometimes I still do) I cried haha. One of my favorite lines of the song is at the end when she sings "I'm still waiting patiently" click on the link to hear it.

Celebrating Super Saul
Yesterday I had the privilege of celebrating my favorite 3 year old's birthday! Saul is such a fun boy. I always have a blast with him. I always love my Tuesday nights with the weavers but last night was extra special because it was Saul's Birthday :) I love picking out gifts (I think it might be my love language) so I might have been just as excited for Saul to open his gifts as he was haha.
Our next stop was chick-fil-a. Saul was very happy to go and there. I think he was most excited about getting play in the play place with his "friends" One of the funniest things that happened while we were there is when Saul came out of the play place and said "They have to clean up the throw up" and sure enough there was throw up in the tree house just like he said. Needless to say we went ahead and left haha. And in case you were wondering...this is how a a super hero eats.
Our next adventure was heading back to the house for cake and more presents! He was very proud of his cake that he helped ice.
I'm glad he decided on sprinkles :)
We spent the rest of the evening hanging out on the trampoline and playing with some of the goodies he got. Very fun night with a very fun boy. So glad that I could celebrate his special day with him. Happy Birthday Saul!
Oh, and I had to add a picture of this. Coolest gift. He got a crane truck that had to be put together with his drill. I foresee him taking it apart and putting it together over and over!

Happy Birthday Daddy!
Yesterday was my dad's birthday. I love celebrating birthdays with people that I love. And it's crazy to see where the time goes. My dad turned 55. WOW how did that happen. I am so blessed to have an amazing father. I am most definitely a daddy's girl so it was so fun to celebrate him! We had steaks, mashed potatoes and cake! all of my dad's favorites. It was a great family night.

My Weekend Review
This weekend I had every intention of getting everything moved in. That didn't happen! We got most of the big stuff moved in on Friday. I am so thankful for my wonderful family who helped me out :) Saturday I had rehearsal with the team who will be leading worship this Thursday at our Women's Ministry Social. I am so looking forward to this. Right after that I headed to Russelleville! Some close friends of mine moved to Russelleville last year. They have since built a house and we haven't been in awhile, so a group of us went for a visit. It was so much fun. It felt just like old times with the gang! We went shooting, cooked out, played Mario, Bro. on Nintendo (brought back memories of childhood), went for ice cream, played games and just enjoyed each other's company. Sadly I was slacking on the picture taking, so I didn't get many at all. I got home on Sunday and just relaxed. Which is something I rarely do. I am gearing up for a super busy week ahead but looking forward to it all. Lots of birthdays for special people in my life are this week :)

Moving
I'm in the process of moving! I don't know if you remember or not, but a while back I posted about some changes in my life. A job change and moving back in with my parents. In my head I had it all planned out. Move back in with my parents for a few months and once I figure out what I'm going to do I will move out. Well that few months turned into a little over a year. Now don't get me wrong, I am very thankful that I have parents who let me move back in when I need to. But, once you have been on your own for a number of years it's just different. I had been praying for doors to be opened and boy did they ever.
The first one was my friend Catherine asked me if I was still wanting to move out. Roommate- check. (which by the way she is one of the greatest people you will ever meet. I am looking forward to all the rommie fun we will have). Her sister and brother-in-law own a duplex and one was coming available (we got an awesome deal) duplex-check. And if things couldn't get any better, I got a promotion at work which basically covers my rent and utilities each month. extra money-check WOW! God is so good.
I am going to start moving things in this weekend. Pictures to come.

Late Night Chats
Last night I got to spend some time with my friend Camie who lives in Illinois and Nikki. We don't get to see Camie all that often but we have gotten to spend two evenings in a row with her :) The first evening was Eisley and Lola's first birthday. It was such a joy to be there and celebrate the girls! They have grown up and they are at such a fun stage right now. Last night we got to play with the girls and really just catch up with Camie. You know you have a great friend when you can just pick up right where you left off. It was a great night of reminiscing, laughing, and chatting the night away. And there may have been some teary eyes as we said goodbye. Just thankful today for great Godly friendships. Have fun looking at some pictures throughout the years :)
